Illustration
Be it character illustrations or environmental concepts and artworks, most work makes its way toward an illustration. Characters battling evil, castles standing on hills, starships in the vacuum of space, there is almost always a concept illustration involved in communicating these ideas.
Below are some of my most recent, and some of my old favorite Illustrations that I feel demonstrate understanding of art fundamentals and strong concept work.
Character Design
The start of any good character, be it sci-fi, fantasy or even realistic fiction, Character Design is always there. A character may need the slightest adjustments to go from good to perfect, and it is the job of a character designer to work on these designs until every detail is perfect and precise.

Concepts and Sketches
Working my way to a fully fledged illustration starts the same as everyone else starts anything. with an idea. Some ideas are vivid enough to have a sketch already mocked up in your mind, and others come less easily. in these cases, I take to thumbnailing and developing concepts at a smaller ratio until they find their final composition and contents.
